Bushland Chardonnay Verdelho

Bushland Chardonnay Verdelho

£3.69 *

(75cl, £3.69 per 75cl)

A combination of 85% Chardonnay and 15% Verdelho, that is incidentally Madeira’s most planted vine, from the Riverina – that part of South East Australia where New South Wales meets Victoria. Fermented over 10 to 14 days in tanks at between 15-18º, with a small proportion of the Chardonnay made in barrel and part of the young wine being given a Malolactic transformation. The Verdelho was kept fresh to retain its natural citrus acidity. The wine was then blended and held in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats before fining and bottling. The combination of Chardonnay with Verdelho creates a round deep, satisfying, food-friendly white wine that is big enough to accompany sourced fish and meat dishes.
