The wine is a combination of 60% pepper and raspberry Grenache, 30% red fruit and spicy Syrah and 10% made up from a mixture of Cinsaut and Mourvèdre that gives a special seasoning to the blend. The wine had around eight days cold maceration in tanks to extract the dark red colour and character. Well-balanced, with a supple structure and a good length, the wine has an abundance of fruity and spicy aromas. A food-friendly wine, it is as well-matched served with the Sunday roast as it is with Monday’s cold leftovers and a baked potato. It can accompany powerfully flavoured vegetarian dishes, strong soft cheeses and even a mild curry.
