Goldfish care
- They need lots of light (leave the tank light on at least 8 hours a day)
- Only feed them once a day/every 2 days
- Make sure stones in the tank aren’t too small – they can get stuck in the fish’s throat
- Change 35-40% of the water every week – they create a lot of waste and use a lot of oxygen. Allow the water you’re changing to stand overnight to release toxins (lead, chlorine)
- As well as flakes and pellets, goldfish also like cooked peas, spinach, earthworms, cucumber, oranges and grapes
